Pension expert wins national industry award

Emilian Groch of the Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund honoured

The Association of Canadian Pension Management (ACPM) has given its Industry Award to Emilian Groch, the chief executive officer of the Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund (ATRF) and former Alberta superintendent of pensions. Groch has been with ATRF since 1994. He is also a member of the ACPM’s Alberta Regional Council and National Policy Committee, as well as being a director of the Pension Investment Association of Canada and a founding director of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance.

The Industry Award recognizes the efforts and achievements of an individual who has proven to be an inspiration for fundamental change in the Canadian retirement income industry. Among the traits considered when naming the recipient are professional excellence, leadership and creativity. ❚
